Fake Oil for Genuine Machine

Facts:

Mobil, Esso, Shell and TCL are the worldwide famous manufacturers for producing lubricating oil and antifreeze used in automobile engines.

Five small factories in Xiao Lou Town, Zengcheng City, Guangdong Province had produced a great number of counterfeiting containing pots for the lubricating oil and antifreeze for automobile engines with the above-identified worldwide famous brands. Afterwards, the other people had filled these fake pots with the poor quality oil and antifreeze. These factories had used the best imported printing machines and forming machines to make the fake containing pots with high quality automatically. Because the fake pots looked exactly identical with the genuine ones, the counterfeiting goods had done great harm to the consumers. Even the personal injury occurred by the use of the counterfeiting products after these products were put on market. The interests of the above-identified well-known manufacturers had been seriously hurt. Xiao Lou Town was the biggest place to produce the fake containing pots for oil and antifreeze in China.

The agent of our Company was entrusted to settle this problem. Under the guidance of the Supreme People's Procuratorate and Guangdong People's Procuratorate, about 150 law enforcement people from Guangdong Anti-counterfeit Office, Guangdong Technical Supervision Bureau (TSB), Guangdong People's Procuratorate, Guangzhou Public Security Bureau, Guangzhou TSB and so on went to the five unlicensed factories for making fake oil and antifreeze on January 17, 1996, to investigate and treat the mountainous pile of fake products. This is a raid action to seize the most counterfeiting lubricating oil and antifreeze in many years in Guangdong Province.

Resolution:

A great number of the packing pots for counterfeiting goods had been destroyed; the equipment for making the counterfeiting products had been confiscated or destroyed; and the person who made the fake products had been imposed a huge sum of damages. Since then, the manufactures of packing pots used for counterfeiting oil and antifreeze had been sharp declined and the personal safety and interests of the consumers have been guaranteed.

This action had been reported by the newspapers in China and abroad. The special programs have been made by the Central Peoples Broadcast. It has also been reported at the program of "Principal Focus Interview" of the CCTV. Please see the attachment for the details.
